Arete is a combination journal and motivational coach. It helps you to improve your life by tracking your values. Our goal is to support you in becoming a little bit better every day by working on things like honor, compassion, loyalty, or any virtue that is meaningful to you.
Through Arete you can:
• Track data for up to 13 virtues, focusing on one each week
• Use a simple daily yes or no to track whether you lived by that virtue
• Send yourself helpful reminders with motivational quotes
• Chose a ‘theme song’ to keep you excited about your virtue of the week. ‘Ain’t No Mountain High Enough’ could keep you focused on working hard, for example.
• Track your improvement over time using data in the app
• Share your success with your friends
TRACK YOUR VIRTUES
Choose any virtues that you want to improve yourself on and document how well you do each day. The app’s simple interface makes it easy to track how you are doing, comment on your virtue that day, and think about how you live. Clear data presentation lets you easily see how you have done in the past for one virtue or for all those that you track.
STAY MOTIVATED AND SUPPORT YOUR FRIENDS
Each virtue has a number of quotes to keep you motivated and to help you think about how to live that virtue. Quotes are included in reminders to help you stay focused on your values. And you can choose your favorite songs to keep you pumped up for your virtue of the week. Some might like ‘Let it Be’ by the Beatles to remind them to be Mindful while others might like ‘Roar’ by Katy Perry for Courage.
Support yourself and your friends as you all embark on a journey to excellence. Invite people you know and encourage each other to live better.
EARN POINTS AND USE THEM TO DONATE TO CHARITY
Earn points for successfully living by your virtues! Users who upgrade to the paid app can use their points to vote for their favorite charity of the month. Arete will donate 5% of monthly revenues to the charity with the most votes.
